Ravena Abdyli
Ravena started dancing at the age of 8; ballet has been her starting point, but during her artistic growth what has distinguished her is her great versatility in dance, which has allowed her to study and dance various styles of dance, modern dance/ jazz, contemporary dance, Hip hop and Latin dancing. Graduated as a teacher of classical dance Cecchetti methodat the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, leaves a few years after teaching dance to engage completely in the world of Argentine tango.
Ravena, teaches and performs together with her current dancer Matteo Antonietti nationally and internationally. Matteo and Ravena start their journey together in summer 2015. They danced as a solo couple sharing stages with orchestras such as Tango Spleen; and also had the opportunity to share the stage at the prestigious show Tango Colores and Tango On Air, organized by the Bari Tango Congress, with some of the best couples of Tango in the world.
In 2017, they participated in the European Tango Championship of Argentine Tango held in Cervia on July 2, obtaining a great 4 place on 80 couples from all over Europe.
In the summer of 2018 they obtained the title of European Champions of "Tango Vals", while in December 2018 they won the first prize of the championship "Pelando Variacion", thus becoming European champions of variation. In 2019, they participated in the World Championship in Buenos Aires and they made it to the semi-finals. Also in 2019 they worked at important Argentine Tango shows such as "El Cruce” in Buenos Aires, directed by Vanessa Villalba and Facundo Pinero and "Chique" directed by Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes. In 2021 they won the title of European Champions of Tango Escenario in the European Tango Cup.
Between 2021-2022 they performed in some of the most important European Tango Festivals such as: Torino Tango Festival, Ostuni Tango Meeting, Tango Meeting Caserta, Lyon Tango Festival, Cyprus Tango Festival, 10 Bari Tango Congress.
In September 2022 they reached the Final in the Tango de pista category at the World Cup in Buenos Aires and from February 2023 they are working in the prestigious Miguel Angel Zotto’s Company Tangox2, and they continue dancing in the most important European Tango Festivals.
